Dear Students,
Welcome to my blog dedicated to your U.S. History course at Central High School. First, let me say how excited I am to be teaching you all this semester. I am a firm believer in the power of education, and truly think that all things are possible if we are willing to educate ourselves. It is my hope that someday we will all value education as the greatest opportunity we are given.
Because most of you are close to legal voting age, I think it is important for you all to become thinking, functioning and questioning citizens. To do so, a person must be able to think and understand their past, present and future. Over the course of the semester, my goal is to help you learn history by making connections between the past to the present, and how it will impact the future.
I will do everything in my power to help you learn, but prepare to be challenged. I know that whenever I struggle to accomplish something, the success is much sweeter when I finally do.
